Knockin' boots this winter.....not what you're thinking lol

Dear Diary,
As we approach more rough winter weather we want to dress warmer and boot season is in full affect. I have a few tips on how to keep your boots in great condition and long lasting for the next winter. I also have a few places you divas can shop for trendy boots and booties. I recently got a pair of Dirty Laundry rubber boots. They are black with a cross strap. They are very tight at first but after a few wears your feet get used to them. My only problem is they are not insulated. When we get a few inches of snow the rubber does not protect my feet from the cold, so my toes freeeeeeeze lol.
I did some research and found some great places online that carry a nice selection. Forever xxi (www.foreverxxi.com) carries booties, knee high boots, calf boots and ankle boots that resemble some of the hottest high end designer shoes, all under $50.
Payless also some very cute and comfortable boots. If you go to www.payless.com they are always having sales, which is great for the fashionista on a budget. They have BOGO (buy one, get one) sales all the time and they also have a rewards program. The rewards program is is easy and best of all free. You can sign up in the store or on the website. You get email alerts on current and future sales, coupons, free shipping on all orders over $50 and you even get a birthday surprise. The good thing is you never spend over $60 on a pair of boots, so you have money to get a second pair.
Torrid is a plus store but they carry shoes and boots for all size, however they carry wide width shoes. What I love about Torrid's boots is that they are very durable and comfortable. They too have a rewards program called 'my diva style account'. It's quick, easy and free as well. You can shop www.torrid.com and sign up for the account. Once you spend $250 you’ll receive a 5% discount on all purchases for a year, exclusive invitations to Torrid events, and a happy birthday gift.
Now that you have your hot, sexy boots you need to protect and store them for next season especially if they are suede or leather. To avoid scuffing you can hang your boots on a rack. Boottique (www.boottique.com) has a 3 foot free standing boot hanging rack starting at $35. The Container Store (www.containerstore.com) has boot clips for $6 each, plastic boot stands for $10, short and tall boot shapers for $10 and inflatable boot stuffers for $10 a pair. You can also download a coupon for 20% off your order. If you have leather boots, to keep them looking new get some leather cream conditioner. You can order it from amazon, ebay or get it from any leather shop. Also invest in some waterproofing spray. The best place to order is www.leatherspa.com
My final tips that don't cost anything and you can do right in your kitchen are you can stuff your boots with old water bottles. If you have stepped in a puddle in your leather or suede boots, stuff them with newspaper to dry. Do not dry them by a heater because it dries and cracks the leather. With the cities salting the streets it gets mixed in with the snow and slush. If you notice salt residue on your boots, take a small bowl and mix 70% water and 30% white vinegar and blot the spots and let it dry.
