The art of bargain shopping
December 24, 2016
Dear Diary,
A few tips for being thrifty are to check sales ads, clip coupons, sign up for rewards cards and email alerts. You will be ahead of the curve by being the first to know on upcoming sales, promos and new items. I think another important tip, especially for local and smaller business would be to build relationships with owners. Ask for a frequent shoppers card, sometimes owners will give special discounts to loyal customers. Coupons are the easiest way to save. It's instant savings. Some stores will offer rebates, buy now save later vouchers and even accept competitors coupons.
" The more you buy, the more you save"
I like to shop at second hand shops, thrift stores and local boutiques. I also use app to shop online. You can find gently used name brands. There are many buy/sell/trade apps. You can also check out www.retailmenot.com and GROUPON for deals. There's nothing wrong with wanting to save, but don't be cheap. The difference between cheap and thrifty is buying something because its on sale even when it is of poor quality versus a bargain on something awesome.
